We can’t be offended unless we choose to be.
People who live in a state of peace don’t let their egos rule them. Doing so diminishes freedom of choice.
They see the good in others’ intentions. This lens reduces the tendency to misunderstand.
When we are offended, we have allowed external forces to form our expectations. Or perhaps we are more concerned about our image or position than we are about other people.
These shortcomings are fixable.
We are in control of ourselves.
People at peace realize others’ bad behavior is a reflection of their own suffering. They feel compassion. They help those people find joy in their journeys.
Choose to see and assume the best in people and in situations. Choose to view life in such a way that being offended isn’t an option.
